Claimed to be the one of the most haunted buildings in Britain...

Barn is now the Falstaffs Museum which is attached to Shrieve's House.

Building named after one of Henry VIII'S archers - William Shrieve.

The 1595 cobblestones outside are those of which Shakespeare is said to have walked along himself and are the oldest surviving ones in Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Has 1000 years of history hanging over its roofs which include fire, plague, war, witchcraft and murder.

Strange occurrences and paranormal activity reported on a daily basis…

1564 - Building born witness to plague, and again repeated 100 years later.

1595 - Most destructive fire ever.

16th Century - Property was a Tavern - run by William Rogers.

17th Century - (Mid) Parliamentary Dutch Mercenary soldiers were at the property under a Colonel Behr and wounded bought back to a makeshift hospital after first battle of the English Civil War / Edge hill - October 1642.

When I worked on Dudley Castle I got there one morning about 7:30. found a pile of innards in the middle of the Courtyard.Thought I knew what they were, but got Dave Beeston (Zoo Education Officer) to check em . It was the digestive system of a large animal.Dave said there were no signs of biting/ eating , so they had just been put there deliberately.Obviously some group had been havin some kind of caper there during the night. Not a Paranormal story, but still true!
